Coorg / Kodagu

Kodagu or Coorg is a district in Southern Karnataka state of India. This district is often referred to as ‘Scotland Of India’. This district is a tourist’s paradise. Misty hills, dense forests, coffee and tea plantations, scenic beauty, teak wood forests makes this place the first destination for any tourist who visits Karnataka. Madikeri or Mercara is the district headquarters of Coorg, and is approximately 250 km from Bengaluru (Bangalore).
