Kovai Kutralam Falls

Kovai Kutralam Falls is located at around 35 km from Coimbatore. The scenic waterfalls is formed when water from Siruvani Dam flows down the Siruvani Hills and descends down forming a multi-step water falls.

Kovai Kutralam falls is located amidst the thick and green forest. The forest is home to variety of flora and fauna, and a huge number of colorful birds. As the falls is located in the heart of thick forests, visitors can feel the pleasant and cool breeze near the falls. You can either appreciate the waterfall by watching it from a distance, or get close to the falls and feel the sounds of nature flowing next to you.

The waterfall itself is located under the forest department jurisdiction, and hence forest office permission has to be obtained before visiting this place. As the waterfall is surrounded by thick forests, visit to this falls is restricted after 5 pm. The cleanliness of the place is very well-maintained with the forest official (always sent by the department) strictly enforces no littering.
