Auro Beach is short for Auroville Beach lies very close to the experimental township of Auroville. The small and gentle waves, and shallow waters attracts several visitors to this beach.

During the weekends, a lot of locals also visit the beach. You can find several people getting into and playing with the water. However, during the weekdays, you can find very few people.

On rare occasions, some companies do provide some water sports on the beach. However, this is not regular and there are no visitor centers on the beach. Some resorts nearby tie up with some water sports organizers and organizes things on demand.
