Siachen Base Camp is located at just 150 km from Leh. Though the trek to glacier is restricted, you can still visit the place for the beautiful drive, and amazing views.

Indira Point, which is few kilometres away from here, is the last camp in India which is at a tri-junction of India, China and Pakistan. You cannot visit that place, but a map at the camp and a small museum gives a glimpse of how tough the terrain is.

Did you know that the Northernmost Village of India is about 200 km from Leh? Yes, 10 km away from Turtuk lies this small village of Thang. You can get a glimpse of the land of Pakistan from this village. You can even hear people talking from across the border.

Apparently there are many people in the village who have close relatives/siblings/friends across the border. They can even see each other daily working on the fields, but can’t talk to each other!
