Hanuman Gundi Falls

Hanuman Gundi Falls (also called Suthanabbi falls) is yet another waterfall in Karnataka that is part of the Western Ghats. This beautiful waterfalls is located 15 km from Kudremukh National Park, and is an absolute delight to watch the water come down 100 feet amidst thick greenery.

Hanumangundi Falls or Suthanabbi Falls

The falls is located right next to the Mangalore – Sholapur National Highway, but is not visible from the road. There is a small board at the location of the falls, but it is very easy to miss noticing that. There is a small entry fee collected by the Forest Department to go to the base of the falls. From the ticket counter, you need to get down almost 300+ steps to get a view of the waterfall.

It is absolutely safe if you want to get into the water. At the touchdown of the falls, a small pool is formed which is not very deep. So you can get into that pool, and feel the pressure of water dropping on to you directly from above 100 feet. It is awesome to visit this falls during and after monsoon season, as the falls will be in its full glory.
