Junagarh Fort
Junagarh Fort in Bikaner is one of the few forts that was NOT built on top of a hill. The fort was constructed in 16th century by Raja Rai Singh and it took almost 5 years to build this fort.

War Souvenir
The above war souvenir was presented by British Government to Maharaja Ganga SinghJi of Bikaner in recognition of the services rendered under his leadership during the first world war. This was one of the planes that was shot down during the war!
The fort also offers beautiful view of the town. The modern town of Bikaner is built around this fort. The fort was earlier called Chintamani, but was renamed to Junagarh Fort when the ruler’s family moved to Lalgarh Palace.
